PA Turnpike (76) to Somerset exit (110) – from Somerset take 281 south to Confluence – go under the underpass (stay right) – then, at the community center, take a right to go around the town park then another right at the gas station and follow the railroad and river out of town heading west. "Dodds" and "Alices" will be passed in the process.
Go over a one-lane bridge – stay on this road through the "narrows" where you will have to yield to oncoming traffic between the tracks and the river. Just before you are about to cross the railroad tracks take a left down a gravel road incline ( Railroad maintenance road). There you will see a sign that says Paddlers Lane.
Follow this road for approximately 1/4 mile, Paddlers Lane is on the left. The first house is the Chalet, the second is the Main House. It is a tan house with a green trim and matching garage. Paddler's Lane Campground is just past our house.
Get on 79 South at Meadville and at Cranberry exit onto the PA turnpike– that is 76 South & East to Pittsburgh.
Stay on 76 Turnpike to Donegal/Uniontown exit #91. After the toll booth, take a left onto 31 – go past a rock with water and turn right on to 381 South at Sarnellis Market (approximately 1.8 miles).
Go another 9.5 miles to a "T" junction where you will take a left to stay on 381 for the 11 miles additional into Ohiopyle.
Cross the tracks and bridge and take a steep left at the private boaters change house to go up Sugarloaf Rd. It is the last left before the second bridge. If you reach the second bridge, you’ve gone too far.
Follow this road for about 8 miles until it "T"s at the top of a hill. Look at the view, then turn left at the church with the blue-green roof.
Follow this road to Confluence (approximately 10 minutes). You will pass two bridges in close succession then find the stop sign. Turn left.
Take this road to the next stop sign. Continue straight around the park and bear right at the gas station to follow the tracks and river downstream out of town heading west. "Dodds" and "Alices" will be passed in the process.

Exit bike trail from the bike/pedestrian bridge. At the end of the bridge take a left and follow one block to Yough street where you will swing right. Follow this for a block to the second bridge and cross the bridge. At the end of the bridge take the left-hand fork (Baxter Avenue) for a block to Latrobe Avenue and take a left onto Latrobe (also SR 3003 and Draketown road). Follow the railroad and river out of town heading West.
Go over a one-lane bridge and stay on this road through the "narrows" where you will have to yield to oncoming traffic between the tracks and the river. (They will yield for you as well) Continue another .5 mile. Just before you cross the railroad tracks take a left down a gravel road incline (Railroad maintenance road). There you will see a sign that says Paddlers Lane.

If you have any problems finding us, please call. We'll come and get you. If you need a shuttle we can provide one. If you need to get back into town for dinner and prefer not to ride your bike; let us know. we generally have a loaner vehicle you can use.
